Because our street light meets 2009 Federal EECBG requirements, it qualifies for tax credits and grants which make it even more affordable for municipalities both large and small.

Our partnership with today's technology experts resulted in the creation of TWAIN Technology which allows the TWAIN LED Street Light to store more energy through our solar panel and wind turbine combination. This energy is generated without producing greenhouse gases.
5-Day Autonomy
Each unit powers its battery reserve through wind turbine- and solar panel-based innovations. When fully charged, the light can deliver full illumination for up to 120 hours (5 days).
Advanced Microprocessor
TWAIN Technology delivers an impressive efficiency factor of 98%. This technology charges the battery reserve in sunny, cloudy and windy conditions. The charge control system pulls 30% more amps from the solar panel for faster charging when compared to other solar controls.
Batteries
Our batteries are AGM deep cycle featuring high-density plate technology. Each battery is 100% recyclable, sealed and valve regulated (VR) requiring no water or maintenance.
Battery Box Options
Our battery vault can be placed anywhere on the street light pole and even underground. In some situations, placing the battery vault underground creates natural insulation and prolongs battery life.
Ultra Low Maintenance
Conventional street lights use bulbs comprised of heavy metals that require replacement, on average, every two years. This takes time and increases landfill waste. The TWAIN Street Light headlamp uses LED bulbs which are rated to last more than 20 years, requiring no maintenance.

Light Footprint
We're often asked how our LED lights compare with electric-powered lamps. This is a measure of what's referred
to as the light footprint. Our innovative lamp, created by MidAmerica Solar uses a series of light bars.
Each lamp houses 80 1-watt LEDs in a select combination of yellow and white bulbs. Unlike many street lamps, the
TWAIN Lighting System casts its light down, reducing light pollution and meets
International Dark Sky certification requirements. Total area of light coverage is dependent upon the height placement of the lamp.
